In our small Boatyard, we deal with the construction of wooden traditional Kashubian Pomeranka boats. These are open board and flat-bottomed boats with gaff sails. Folk boatbuilding, due to the nature of the construction process of each boat, makes the sailing boats unique and special.
We do not follow the examples of any plans or calculations in our creative process. Our motto is tradition - the art passed from generation to generation - and the experience acquired over the years. The manufactural nature of the work makes that these boats represent artistic handicraft.
Today’s Kashubian Pomeranka boats, modelled on the old method of their construction, are the structures that performed well in the past and today.These boats are sailing across the waters of the Bay of Gdańsk and Puck, Masuria, abroad as well as on other smaller and larger waters.

Przy wyjeździe z Jastarni, w stronę Juraty, stoi niepozorna chata. Kryta strzechą. Napis, informujacy,że znajduje się tu muzeum("Pod strzechą", i to całkowicie prywatne) nie rzuca sie w oczy. Czasem przed chatą stała kaszubska łódź- o dziwo, nowa, czasem nie i wtedy w ogóle łatwo było przeoczyć. Turyści czy żeglarze bywali w Jastarni wiele razy, nie zaglądając tutaj. Chyba że ktoś był ciekaw, wchodził na podwórko i się rozglądał. Wtedy pojawił się starszy pan, czekał, przyglądał się i - gdy sie o coś zapytało - zaczynał opowiadać. [...]

[...] Swoją pierwszą łódź zbudowałem w 1922 roku. Jako budulec miałem tylko podkłady kolejowe. To była bardzo skomplikowana praca, bo pasy poszycia były wąskie. Nie miałem żadnych wzorów i specjalnych narzędzi. Posługiwałem się tylko piłą, toporkiem i świdrem. Nie miałem nawet parownika do wyginania desek.
